Tip #6: Turn off the lights when you don't need them or your not in the room. That also includes the fan.

Tip #7: Save more energy with the AC. When your not in the house, keep the temperature at 78F or higher on the AC if you have to leave it on. Don't have the heater so high as well. Put on a sweater instead. In my house in Malaysia, we don't have AC. We use fans and open the windows. You might be able to do that at night instead of having AC. Keeping lights off when rooms are not in use is also good because lights generate heat that makes your air conditioner run more.
